Pastels

Nothing says 'Spring has sprung' quite like gingham and pastels does it? And after the lust list full of gingham posted 2 weeks ago, I had to move onto pastels now that it's actually feeling somewhat warm and Spring-like around here! If you know me, you know I always have my nails done, so why not share a few of my favourite pastel(ish) shades that I'll be cracking out this season. I used to do monthly 'Nail Update' posts on the blog last year with my favourite shades, but that kind of fizzled out so that I could focus on more fashion and think-pieces, but every now and again I still like to mix it up a bit.

I thought I'd stick to one brand for this, not only because having bottles the same size and shape is far more aesthetically pleasing, but also because I've never really been on the Essie hype before. Shocker, I know. But Barry M and Nails Inc have always had my heart, you see? I decided at some point last year to finally see what all the fuss was about, and have now built up somewhat of a collection. They're quite good aren't they?

Fiji
What is Spring without some baby pink? This definitely needs two coats (if not more) but it's such a cute shade and a classic among Essie fanatics also.

Serial Shopper
If that name doesn't sum me up, then I don't know what does. It looks a lot more orange on camera, much more coral irl. A nice, kind-of-bright but not-too-bright shade for in the sun.

Play Date
I actually only picked this one up because it was reduced in Boots. But it's now actually my favourite shade! Again it's a bright but not-too-bright shade and I'm loving purple and lilac right now. Also great if you're in a rush, because one coat covers!

Any Spring shade recommendations I should try?

Loves. Emma.
