I'm not one for a capsule wardrobe, and I never will be. I'm a sucker for a bargain and am constantly buying more and more clothes just because they're pretty and I can! So what if my wardrobes fit to bursting, there's worse things I could be spending my money on, right? So although my wardrobe is ever-changing and ever-growing, there are always staples that I am never without. Whether these be staples for a particular season, or a plain white tee which is both essential and perfect all year round. So I thought I'd share an outfit full of the staples I'm not without when it comes to that awkward transitional weather.

The Leather Jacket
Perfect all year round tbh but they can sometimes be a bit warm and uncomfortable if we get an actual warm summer! I have a collection of 8 (faux) leather jackets, covering a variety of colours and styles but this is my trusty faithful. I've had it for 8 years and it's the only real leather one I own, but it's just a basic style and goes with literally everything. The wardrobe hero, y'know!

Patterned Shirts
Last year I went through a real love affair with gaudy, patterned shirts and although I'm not *quite* as obsessed, I still think they're a must-have! Shirts provide the perfect in between when it's too warm for a jumper but too cold for t-shirts, so why not have a snazzy patterned one? This one arrived from SheIn last week and works perfect for a head-to-toe monochrome look.

Skinny Jeans
So we all loved skinny jeans back in 2015, and although I LOVE a good kickflare or boyfriend slouchy style, the love for skinnies will always remain, but particularly when Autumn rolls around. I've worn this black pair to absolute death and should really think about replacing them, but when jeans fit so good who wants to get rid of them?! I love how skinny jeans go with literally any footwear choice, and in this wear are great for tucking into over-the-knee boots!
white ankle boots

Ankle Boots
Ok, so I'm kind of cheating here. As I mentioned in Fridays post all about ankle boots, I wear them all year round. They're a permanent staple whether it Summer or Winter, but they do work especially well in transitional times, so? It's at that time where I can't wear shoes without socks, so unless I'm going for trainers (not very office friendly!) it tends to be boots. And I'm not complaining! This pair are potentially one of the best bargains I've ever picked up - £9 in the New Look sale last year! - and as well as being super comfy, actually go with so many outfits.

Paired with a cross-body bag and a pair of Ray-Bans, this makes for the perfect outfit of wardrobe staples imho. Who doesn't love the convenience of having your bag over your body and free hands to shop? And I wear sunglasses all of the time, because they're the perfect outfit compliment and I have sensitive eyes, but coming into Autumn that low evening sun is a killer for driving home y'know!
